Blackberry JVM error 513 Fix

After typing an incorrect password ten times and restarting the BlackBerry smartphone, the following error appears:

Cause

All of the data and applications on the BlackBerry smartphone have been deleted.

Resolution

The BlackBerry® Device Software must be reloaded on to the BlackBerry smartphone. For instructions, refer to KB11320.

Note: Due to the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) error, the BlackBerry smartphone will not show a Connected state in the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager. Proceed to reload the BlackBerry Device Software using the Application Loader.

1. Install the desktop software.
2. Install the handheld software.  For example: 8130AMEA_PBr4.5.0_rel101_PL3.2.0.51_A4.5.0.77_Telus.exe
3. Connect the device to the computer.
4. Select the application loader icon.
5. Select all software you want installed.
6. Proceed to the end portion untill you see the “Finish” button.
7. Click Advanced, and then select the check boxes beside Erase all application data and Erase all currently installed applications11. Make sure both boxes are checked.
8. Select the check box next to Do not automatically backup the application data during the loading process (if prompted).
9. Clear the check box next to Backup and restore applications installed wirelessly (if prompted).

CA BrightStor 11.5 SP4 Update error – media pool information lost

After updating to CA BrightStor 11.5 SP4,  the media pool information has lost.  When we tried to create new media pool, we got the same error message every time.

“The media pool name already exists in the database. Delete the existing pool or select a unique pool name”

Solution:

delete 2 registry key, and then restart the CA manager. Export registry first for backup before you delete the registry keys.

CA Error – This device does not have a cleaning tape slot installed.

CA Brightstor and Tape Library

Even you have configured a dedicated clean tape slot on your tape library, but when you try to do “Clean Tape Head” manually, you still get “This device does not have a cleaning tape slot installed.” error message.

In CA BrightStor, go to “Configuration – Device”, go “Windows Server – Tape/Optical Library”,  it will stop your ”Tape Engine” to configure your tape devices, ”Assign Devices – Assign Cleaning Tape – Properties”, check “Tape Cleaning slot installed” and select “Cleaning Slot #” or ”Automatic tape cleaning” to do the configuration.

1.Verify the CHAP authentication username and password are correct on both Dell iSCSI SAN PS series and Windows iSCSI initiator.

2. Uncheck Authenticate using CHAP user name on Dell Dell iSCSI SAN PS series and only select Limit access by IP Address and specify the range of IP address to which it can authenticate.
