I notice a lot of people are having problems with computers, would you like some advise and some assistance? Are you doing your housecleaning regularly? How are you handling emails?
Do you need some help?
Here is what I do, over ride cookie handling, all you need to use your computer is cookies from MSN and Microsoft and Yahoo in order to post here. Some but not all sites require you to accept their cookies.
Cookies are necessary ONLY if you intend to interact with a site. So I control what cookies are allowed on my computer.
Everytime you open any website including Yahoo you are going to get up to as many as 10 cookies. A lot of these contain spy ware that can track your computer use and patterns and send you spam.
Most people who are not computer savy will have, when their computers are checked, between 1000 and 4000 “cookies” and programs running on their computers. This slows down the computer and often confuses it.
I DONT open any email if I dont know who it is from, EVER. There is a new and very vicious email worm being circulated. I also check headers and source before opening email if I am not sure whether I should or not.
I set my Internet history options under tools on the taskbar to save history for 0 days. It is automatically dumped every 24 hours if I dont delete it myself before then.
I also dump my prefetch files regularly and delete all my temporary internet files several times a day.
I run an anti-virus program and 2 spyware programs.

Think about it. We spend millions of dollars on anti-virus software and malware removers. We purchase software to “guard” our computers and have to constantly install updates…and if our anti-virus is expired we buy new and improved…
This has me thinking that not all virus, worms or spyware are just some hacker…some of these programs are smart and get into the system and do a lot of damage….and what do we do? We pay to have it removed.

There are no viruses, worms, or anything like that. I have Anti-virus and have scanned.
There isn’t any spyware or adware, scanned for that and took all that was on off.
It’s a laptop, my battery is a bit old (just over two years) but if I plug it in, should that make a difference?
It seemed to start when I put on my next subscription of Norton Anti-Virus, but I don’t see how that would be the problem. I am confused.
It seemed to get worse today when I put something else on. (I have plenty of memory on the computer, so I don’t think that is it)
