Has Anyone Else Wondered If Software Companies Are Responsible For Some Computer Viruses?

Think about it. We spend millions of dollars on anti-virus software and malware removers. We purchase software to “guard” our computers and have to constantly install updates…and if our anti-virus is expired we buy new and improved…
This has me thinking that not all virus, worms or spyware are just some hacker…some of these programs are smart and get into the system and do a lot of damage….and what do we do? We pay to have it removed.

Anti-virus Programs? I Need Some Advise?

I have Norton antispyware on my computer from At&T, my phone company. My sister in law downloaded some files last night that made the computer act funny. We tried burning a CD 3 times and all 3 times the computer shut down on its own in the middle of durning. I turned on the full scan for Norton and again the computer turns off in the middle. So I went in and deleted all the files she downloaded but the problem is still there I believe. Norton is not picking anything up. I did a free scan suggested on yahoo answers by Panda active scan 2.0, it says: Latest generation antivirus
The ActiveScan 2.0 is a powerful online security solution that detects and eliminates over 3,000,000 viruses, worms and Trojans, as well as protecting against other malicious code, such as spyware or dialers. ActiveScan 2.0 not only detects the malicious programs in your computer memory, but also seeks out these threats in e-mail and compressed files.
Can I run this program while having Norton on my computer without harming the computer? when this scan was done it says that I have 3 suspicious files. But it will not do anything until I pay for the program. What should I do?

Want Some Type Of Tech School But Not Sure What To Go Into?

ok now. I am very well known in my small area to be a cell phone (blackberry smartphone anyphone whizz) people come to me before they go to the local cell phone store because i usually can give them a simple understandable way of a type of solution or quick question.
Now i do know a decent amount about computers and internet but i wouldn’t say i’m a whizz…
I’m trying to figure out where i want to go to school. I figure i would like to go to some kind of tech school because well basically standard regular high school has never interested me.
I can learn anything that interests me and am the kind of person who doesn’t see things that clearly until they understand 99% of it and then they can whizz through it.
Why i didn’t do better in school (sisters 4.0 thru school 30 act) is because nothing ever interested me and i cannot find a focus one at a time on boring subjects, i am pretty creative, and am told that i am too.
Also i have been told that i have strong sales skills. As i have sold cell phones to people and also sold many other things since i’ve been in the 8th grade.
I need stimulation and interest in something and i can be absolutely amazing at it. I would like to go somewhere near columbus, ohio. i’m not sure what all schools there are to offer. but they cannot be very hard to get into.
I would like to go into some kind of tech field that pays pretty well (80k +). My only problem is i am HORRIBLE AT MATH.
I have a 3.0 and got a 23 on my ACT.
Any major ideas or schools?
